See it’s shit like the Reboot comics that make me hate Spock/Uhura SOO much.

It’s not that the ship itself it’s horrible, heck i would be able to enjoy shipping it in TOS if I didn’t love Space Husbands so damn much.

It’s not because I ship Kirk/Spock so hard that I hate Spock/Uhura, it’s because of J.J and crew’s stupid characterization choices for both Spock and Uhura that make this ship look so implausible I can’t even. Plus so many moments between them in the movies are either arguing and fighting or emotionalism that has so little focus for the rest of the movie that they could platonic friends and it wouldn’t change the menaing at all.

I mean CHRIST if you want to make me care about Spock/Uhura within the context of the universe, then you better write them like they actually have a trusting, caring and understanding relationship and not like whiny brats who are only together because OMG SO HOTT!

Like one of us buys a soda for themselves and puts it in the fridge, but the other one drinks it. Then the one who lost their soda keeps slamming doors and sulking until they can take revenge by drinking the other one’s soda in return.
